Our story

Some places leave an impression. Italy leaves a mark on your soul.

At Avanti Italy, we believe no two travellers are the same — and neither are our itineraries. Each one is thoughtfully designed to be as unique and unforgettable as the person experiencing it.

Founded by Italian-Australian traveller Emily Tassone, Avanti Italy was born from a desire to help others experience the heart and soul of Italy — through effortlessly refined, tailor-made travel.

Raised in Mildura, Australia by Italian parents, Emily grew up surrounded by the spirit, stories and traditions of Italy. After completing her studies in Tourism and Event Management, and spending years in Australia’s tourism industry, her path became clear: to combine her professional experience with her cultural heritage and personal passion. And so, Avanti Italy was born.

Emily now lives between Adelaide and the Amalfi Coast, married to a local from Pompeii and immersed in the country she loves. She walks the very cobblestone streets her clients dream of. She dines where they’ll dine, sleeps where they’ll stay, and builds each itinerary through first-hand experience and trusted local relationships. With bilingual fluency and an eye for detail, Emily ensures every Avanti Italy guest travels with confidence, ease, and deep cultural connection.
